D.B.Y. (DOG BLESS YOU)

D.B.Y. (Dog Bless You) is Samuel Ricciuti’s solo project. The founder of Chez.Kito.Kat Records and member of Komparce likes to describe his solo project as uncategorized. This is certainly due to the blending of influences found on his productions, going from ambient to hip hop, crossing through post punk, breakbeat, techno, jazz and other electronic and analog experimentations. This makes each creation a work of art of its own.
Since 2005, Samuel Ricciuti published several splits, EPs, and remixes on various French, Luxemburger and Canadian Record Labels (Wondernoise, Schnurstrax,Soundzfromnowhere, Chat Blanc, Specific). His work also consists of sound illustration projects (videos, pictures, choreographies, art installations, etc.) notably in collaboration with Daniel Buren at MUDAM Luxembourg Museum, for “Nuits Blanches” in Metz in 2010.

In 2019, his third album “La science du langage” was released on Specific Recordings and Chez.Kito.Kat Records and was well received by specialized press as seen in The Wire magazine.

REVIEWS

Dog Bless You featuring Mr Bios are Samuel Ricciuti and Christophe Biache – both founding members of the Canada/France based Chez.Kito.Kat label. For the last 12 years they have also gone out as Komparce, a duo oscillating between downtempo and more techno oriented music. – Wire

– Rock made in France

– Liability
